Alex Brideau
Analyst
Alex Brideau is an analyst in the Eurasia practice, specializing in Russia, Central Asia, and Ukraine. He focuses on issues in a variety of sectors, including natural resources and automotive. He also analyzes US politics and their impact on the global investment environment. Alex received an MA in international affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, and a BS in foreign service from Georgetown University's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. He currently works and lives in Tokyo, Japan.
Prior to joining Eurasia Group, Alex worked as a staff reporter for Energy Intelligence Group in Washington, DC, reporting on US crude oil futures and spot markets for several of its publications, including Oil Daily and Petroleum Intelligence Weekly. Previously, he worked for Pasha Publications in Arlington, Virginia, as an associate editor of Navy News & Undersea Technology, a publication focusing on the US military and the defense industry.
