DJ Peterson

Demosthenes James Peterson (familiarly known by his initials, "DJ") is a director of Corporate Advisory Services. He received his BA from Duke University, with a double major in international studies and Russian, and his MA and PhD in political science from UCLA. He spent more than 15 years at the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, where his final position was as a senior political scientist and acting director of the firm's environment, energy, and economic development program. DJ has also served as a consultant to both the National Intelligence Council and the Central Intelligence Agency, and spent some time at the Wilson Center in Washington as a public policy scholar.

DJ began his career as a specialist on environmental issues, particularly in Russia and the former Soviet Union. During his years at RAND, he worked on a number of other sectors as well, including energy, mining, forestry, infrastructure, real estate, automotive, information technologies, and emergency response. He has conducted a number of major studies himself, and also managed RAND's research portfolio on many of these issues.
