Courtney Rickert
Analyst
Courtney Rickert is an analyst in the Comparative Analytics practice group. She covers multilateral forums and cross-national issues, such as G20 meetings and trade and capital flows, linking these to political risks for portfolio and foreign direct investment. Courtney compiles the monthly Global Political Risk Index (GPRI) and assists in the construction and publication of other risk indices. She also serves as project manager on a variety of engagements for financial, corporate, and government clients. Courtney has an MA in international relations and international economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), specializing in international development and emerging markets. She earned a BA in politics and international relations from Drake University.
Prior to joining Eurasia Group, Courtney worked in the political risk insurance department of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and at a Ciudadanos al Dia (Citizens by Day), an NGO promoting government transparency in Lima, Peru. Courtney also worked at an international development consulting firm in Washington, DC; on political campaigns; and in the Iowa legislature. She is proficient in Spanish.
