Sean West
Director
Sean West is the head of Eurasia Group's United States practice and a director at the firm. Since 2008, he has led development of the firm's approach to Washington political risk for financial sector and corporate clients. His research focuses on US national elections, fiscal policy, trade issues, and housing finance reform. He has appeared on broadcast outlets including CNBC, CNN, NPR, and Fox News and frequently appears in the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, and other publications.
Prior to Eurasia Group, Sean worked with US federal government agencies on financial management and enterprise risk as a management consultant at Deloitte. He has also worked at the Federal Reserve Bank, where he published on secondary mortgage market issues. He holds a master's degree in public policy from UC Berkeley and a bachelor's degree in international politics from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown. He also studied politics and government at the London School of Economics.
