Yuko Watanabe

Associate Director

Yuko Watanabe is an associate director of business development for Japan. She received her master's degree in public administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She also holds a master's degree in political science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a bachelor in law from Waseda University in Japan.

Prior to joining Eurasia Group, Yuko was a senior program officer at the Japan Society in New York, where she managed numerous relationships with corporate executives in both Japan and the US, and worked closely with educational institutions, governmental organizations, and media. A freelance writer and translator, Yuko contributed numerous columns to Japanese newspapers, and co-translated "The Travels of a T-Shirt in the Global Economy: An Economist Examines the Markets, Power and Politics of World Trade," an award-winning book by Georgetown University's Business Professor Pietra Rivoli (Toyo Keizai, 2006, in Japanese).
