Anbinh Phan is the head of Eurasia Group's Consumer and Retail practice. In this role, she leads a team that provides industry-specific research on emerging issues and regulations, assesses geopolitical risk and opportunity trends, and customizes the analysis of global events for consumer and retail clients. The team covers issues such as clean supply chains, human rights, sustainability, ESG, regenerative agriculture, and global sourcing inputs.
Before joining Eurasia Group, Anbinh was the director for global government affairs at Walmart, where she engaged and collaborated with government leaders, civil society groups, and industry associations to advance sustainability goals for people and the planet. She has also worked as an economist at the US Department of the Treasury, served as a fellow at Human Rights First, and owned a small business.
Anbinh received a juris doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center and a master of public affairs from Princeton University's School of Public and International Affairs. Anbinh holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy, politics, and economics from Pomona College and studied abroad at University College, Oxford University. Anbinh loves hiking, the ocean, and matcha.
