Koichiro Kimura is a senior advisor to Eurasia Group focused on helping Japanese corporations manage increasing geopolitical complexity. Kimura had a decades-long career at PwC Japan, where he served for eight years as chairman, as well as five concurrent years as vice chairman of the firm's Asia-Pacific business. Prior to attaining his firmwide leadership positions, Kimura built his career in the company's assurance area. In addition to his work with PwC, he has been a senior member of the Japan Association of Corporate Executives (Keizai Doyukai) for ten years, and he has held advisory roles at a variety of public institutions and trade associations including the Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Tokyo and the Financial Accounting Standards Foundation of Japan.

At PwC, Kimura was a dedicated and trusted partner of Eurasia Group and GZERO Media. He was an active supporter and participant in the annual GZERO Summit in Tokyo, of which PwC is the flagship sponsor. He regularly interacted with Eurasia Group's senior leaders and staff, and he led joint efforts with the firm to strengthen the ability of Japanese business leaders and investors to understand and navigate geopolitics and political risk. Meanwhile, he led PwC through ten consecutive years of double-digit growth in the Japan market. Kimura is a grandfather who enjoys time with his wife exploring historical sites and fine foods across Japan.
