Sebastian Strauss is a senior analyst in the Office of the President, working directly with Eurasia Group President Ian Bremmer on both global macro research priorities and a variety of special projects. Sebastian specializes in geopolitics, macroeconomic policy, and international political economy.
Prior to joining Eurasia Group, Sebastian worked as project manager and senior research analyst at the Brookings Institution, where he managed the Global Economy and Development program's engagements with Latin America and the G20 and conducted research at the intersection of macroeconomics, geopolitics, and political economy. Sebastian graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in public and international affairs from Princeton University. A multilingual native of Uruguay, Sebastian is an avid coffee drinker and enjoys cooking and watching fútbol.
