Eurasia Group has several strategic relationships with major corporations to provide political risk products tailored to specific client needs. Recent cooperative efforts include projects with Citi Global Wealth Management and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Citi Global Wealth Management

Eurasia Group and Citi Global Wealth Management collaborate to produce the Global Political Risk Index (GPRI). The GPRI is the first comparative political and economic index designed specifically to measure stability in emerging markets. It evaluates a country's capacity to withstand political, economic, security, and social shocks. Developed over an eight-year period by experts in transitional politics and economics, the methodology enables our researchers to provide an “early warning” system that helps track critical trends and anticipate potential crises.

The GPRI spans all the major developing regions and gives a numerical stability rating for the following 24 countries:

» Asia (China, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Philippines, South Korea, Thailand)

» Europe & Eurasia (Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Ukraine)

» Latin America (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela)

» Middle East & Africa (Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Nigeria, South Africa)

The GPRI is published and distributed to clients on a monthly basis, as part of a cobranded report with Citi Private Bank, titled Perspectives: Politics and the Markets.
