Mujtaba Rahman

Mujtaba Rahman is the head of Eurasia Group's Europe practice. His primary areas of expertise are European political economy and European economic and monetary integration. As well as leading the practice, Mujtaba has primary responsibility for Macro/EU, Greece, Cyprus and UK coverage. Prior to joining Eurasia Group, Mujtaba worked at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs, and at the UK Treasury.
Mujtaba received master's degrees in international affairs from Columbia University and in European political economy from the London School of Economics. He is frequently quoted on European affairs in the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal and New York Times. He also appears regularly on the BBC, Bloomberg and CNBC, among other outlets. He speaks French and Urdu.
